Acting for Films

Being a film actor is a dream for so many people who never pursue it because they think they don’t know anyone in the business or they don’t live in Bollywood. You don’t have to know anyone in the business to take the first step, and you don’t have to live in Bollywood to prepare for pursuing your dream to act in films. In Padarpan, we believe the secret to film acting is telling the story as simply as possible. In the theatre, a performance must carry to last row. In film, cameras and microphones are perilously close and capture even the smallest gesture and sound, but the internals for the actor are exactly the same as they would be for the stage, only their outward expression must be much subtler. Theatre-trained actors, with limited or no on-camera experience, tend to reveal too much of their work externally. “Less is more” is never truer than when it comes to acting for film. Film actors portray characters in movies. They must research and develop the characters, rehearse lines and work under direction. Film acting is one of the most glamorous and highly sought after fields in the entertainment industry. Jobs in the field therefore are extremely competitive. A film actor’s resume is often the first thing a director or casting agent sees when considering an applicant. The resume can include professional or college-level acting experiences, training and special skills, like fluency in a foreign language or the ability to do certain stunts. A headshot that embodies the actor’s personality should be attached to the resume. Actors and actresses should update their resumes regularly in order to highlight their most exceptional experiences. In Padarpan, we nourish and train you and thrive to get your excellence and make it reach to the target. We are not just like any other Acting School. We try to do the best for you according to the way you are. We believe in, that it is useless pushing a cart sideways. Acting for Theatre

Theatre Actors have a talent for performing and entertaining others. With the most common venue being a live stage, theatre acting does not include the benefits of multiple takes and editing that film and television actors enjoy. Natural talent, persistence in pursuing auditions and luck are prominent factors in the success of a career in theatre acting. The ability to memorize scripts and improvise under pressure are also helpful for aspiring actors. It involves sophisticated role-playing and make-believe, pretending, conveyed through doing or enacting on the stage a vision of life. The actor must discover the essence of character and project that essence to the audience. Bollywood Dance

Bollywood dance is the dance-form used in the Indian Films. It is a mixture of numerous styles. These styles include belly-dancing, Kathak, Indian Folk, Western popular, and “modern”, jazz, and even Western erotic dancing. Bollywood dance is a difficult topic to discuss because it is hard to pin down. Its exact definition, geographical distribution, and stylistic characteristics are amorphous. However in spite of all of this, it is surprisingly recognisable. In the strict sense the term “Bollywood” refers to the Hindi culture, art, and film industry from Bombay. The other film centres of South Asia are often referred to by their own designations (e.g., Lollywood (Lahore), Tollywood (Andhra Pradesh)). However since the Bombay Hindi film industry dwarfs the other productions centres, the term “Bollywood” is generally extended to mean the entire South Asian film culture. For the purpose of this web-page, we will use the more general meaning. The international appeal of Bollywood dancing is something that has been many decades in the making. Originally it was found only in places that had a significant consumption of Indian films. But a few years ago it started to become chic in Europe, and today it is rising in popularity in the US, and Canada. Here, in Padarpan, we teach a various forms of dance and dance related flexibility exercises. It includes Western forms like Free Style Dance, Hip Hop, Urban Hip Hop, Salsa Dance, Ballet, Contemporary, and Lyrical along with a wide variety of Bollywood style. Musical Instruments

Can you imagine living your life without music? It would be very hard to do so, as music has been hard-wired into our very existence as human beings. While everyone enjoys listening to good music, not many of us are what the world calls ‘musicians’- the ones with the ability to play a musical instrument. This could be due to not having the opportunity to learn as kids or simply due to lack of inclination or proper instruction. However, music is something that is never too late to learn. And here are 10 good reasons as to why everyone should learn to play a musical instrument.

1. Playing a musical instrument relieves stress Researchers studying the benefits of music have reported that playing a musical instrument on a regular basis can help bring down stress. Studies show that playing an instrument helps in lowering the heart rate and blood pressure, which in turn lowers the stress hormone, thus making us feel relaxed. While just listening to music also helps, learning to play an instrument brings with it a comforting routine of daily practice that helps in keeping the stress hormones away.

2. Playing a musical instrument makes you smarter People who have received a music education are generally smarter than their non-musical counterparts are. Extensive research done in this area has proved that children who learn to play a musical instrument do better in academics.

3. Playing a musical instrument improves your social life Music helps you connect. Learning an instrument enlarges your social circle since you get to meet more people than you usually would. In children, music can help develop social skills.

4. Playing a musical instrument helps build confidence choosing to take music lessons can help build confidence. Once you are aware that you are able to do something well, like play the flute for instance, you naturally become more confident of your skills. Learning to play an instrument can help both children and adults who face confidence issues.

5. Playing a musical instrument teaches patience Music teachers feel that music can help teach patience. In a world of instant gratification, learning to play an instrument is not something that can happen overnight. It is the daily efforts of everyday practice that can help a musician learn how to play without mistakes. This is turn develops patience. Most musicians go through years of regular practice that includes daily musical exercises and the tackling of progressively difficult musical pieces, which in turn helps them conquer the virtue of patience.

6.Playing a musical instrument fosters creativity Stuck in everyday routine lives, many of us lose touch with our creative side. Learning to play a musical instrument, especially when you reach advanced levels, can foster that lost creativity. Since music education plays on your mental, emotional and cognitive abilities, the brain is stimulated to think out of the ordinary, which results in improved creativity.

7. Playing a musical instrument improves memory Music and memory go hand in hand. Learning to play a musical instrument makes you use both parts of your brain and this in turn boosts memory power. Music education is also linked to higher IQ levels and the physical development of certain parts of the brain.

8. Playing a musical instrument develops discipline Music requires dedication and regular practice. Allotting a specific amount of time to practice music daily develops discipline in the learner. This can prove to be extremely advantageous in children.

9. Playing a musical instrument gives you a sense of achievement Learning to play a musical instrument gives you an immense sense of achievement. This feeling of satisfaction leads to a tremendous sense of self-achievement that can help you accomplish more in other areas of your life.

10. Playing a musical instrument is fun Lastly, learning to play a musical instrument is fun. Playing a musical instrument can bring back the fun factor into your life. Music has the special quality to bring joy, peace and fulfilment that helps lift the spirit and make life enjoyable for everyone involved. In Padarpan, we give special emphasis when it comes to music of any kind. We have tutorials for various musical instruments like Tabla, Guitar, Keyboard, Drums, flute and many more.

Salsa Dance

Salsa is usually a partner dance form that corresponds to salsa music. In some forms, it can also appear as a performance dance. The word is the same as the Spanish word salsa meaning sauce, or in this case flavour or style.

Historically salsa finds its roots in Cuba, where the African rhythms brought there by slaves mixed with various forms of popular Spanish music, which resulted in a number of different styles. The world salsa literally means sauce, and indicates the mixing of various ingredients to obtain a new, rich flavour. Contrary to common belief though, what is today called salsa did not develop in the Caribbean, but in New York, in the 70s, among its rapidly increasing Latino population. From there it spread back to Cuba and Puerto Rico where it was destined to continue its development, producing possibly the best salsa musicians and dancers in the world. This initiated a 2 way cultural exchange between the Caribbean and the States that is still very much alive today.

Quite rapidly salsa spread to Central and South America, mostly in the countries facing the Caribbean sea and as always happens to any form of art and expression of human culture, it differentiated itself in many, at least slightly, different forms. Basically, each Latin country has its own salsa style, almost inevitably defined as the ‘only, right and true’ form of salsa.

Trying to make sense of dozens of ‘only, right and true’ styles of salsa, we can broadly state that today there are seven major salsa schools or styles. Two of these are in the Caribbean (Cuba and Puerto Rico), two in central/south America (Costa Rica and Colombia) and three in the States (New York, Los Angeles and Miami). More recently, London is developing what they call ‘London Style’. Considering the American schools less ‘proper’ because they are outside the ‘Latin sphere’ would be a gross misunderstanding, for two main reasons. Firstly, because of the huge Latin population living in those three cities and secondly because American teachers (often of Latin origin) are today having a huge influence on salseros back in Latin America.

All this gives a clear image of salsa as an international dance which exploded far beyond its original ‘Caribbean’ borders. Top bands nowadays come from Puerto Rico as well as from Japan, Senegal, France and even Finland. Salsa competitions are at times won by ‘western’ and even Asian dancers. This is nothing but a natural result of the widespread development of any form of art.

The reason I point this out is that I would like to encourage students to approach salsa with an open mind. Whilst I recommend an understanding of the original cultural background of the dance, and a respect for its core ‘Caribbean’ style, I also encourage you to feel free to interpret the music according to your own feeling and background, whether this is Australian, Asian or European.

Here, in Padarpan, we teach a various forms of dance and dance related flexibility exercises. It includes Western forms like Free Style Dance, Hip Hop, Urban Hip Hop, Salsa Dance, Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical along with a wide variety of Bollywood style. Salsa requires a couple, although you can choreograph it as a form of line dance in which a partner might not be necessary. You can perform salsa as an improvisation but generally it is choreographed. This dance style is very popular throughout the Latin America and over time it spread through North America, Europe, Australia, Asia and the Middle East.

Line Dance

A line dance is a choreographed dance with a repeated sequence of steps in which a group of people dance in one or more lines or rows without regard for the gender of the individuals, all facing the same direction, and executing the steps at the same time. Line dancers are not in physical contact with each other. Older “line dances” have lines in which the dancers face each other, or the “line” is a circle, or all dancers in the “line” follow a leader around the dance floor; while holding the hand of the dancers beside them.

Ballroom Dances

These dances started appearing first in Italy, during the early years of Renaissance. Popularity of this kind of entertainment quickly swept over the Europe, United States and the World. Although many other simpler and more easily preformed types of dances caused the ballroom dance to lose some of their influence, modern worldwide dancing audience started resurrecting these immortal dances in ever increasing pace.

Wedding Dance

Traditionally, wedding receptions are filled with music and dancing as loved ones joyously celebrate their happiness for the bride and groom. Most wedding reception timelines incorporate structured dances that honour special loved ones and encourage the guests to get out on the dance floor.

For each dance, couples need to choose a meaningful song and provide the playlist to the DJ. In some cases, you may need to provide a copy of the music. So that guests do not grow bored, limit each song to two minutes. Also, there are no requirements for anyone to dance, so it is important that you are sensitive to the feelings of any relatives who are uncomfortable in the limelight.

• Bride and Groom • Parents • Wedding Party • Guests Dating back the era of Victorian balls, wedding etiquette suggests that the bride and groom should dance first. As hosts of the event, it is their responsibility to kick off the festivities. Many couples head directly to the dance floor after making their grand entrance into the venue, where the DJ presents them to the guests for the first time as husband and wife. Some choose to break up the dinner hour by entertaining the guests between courses while others wait until the meal concludes. Just like centuries ago, the first dance between the bride and groom is one of the most anticipated moments of the event, both by the guests and the newlyweds.

Parent Dance

Traditionally, the bride dances with her father immediately afterward although some couples to choose to wait. With the ever-changing face of families, a bride might also invite a grandfather, step-father, uncle or father-in-law to join her. If she wants to dance with more than one person, it is best to have the next person cut in, although two separate dances are acceptable.

The groom can dance with his mother at the same time or immediately after the Father-Daughter dance. Parents and grandparents on both sides of the family should be invited to the dance floor next. This is also the perfect time for the groom to share a few moments with his new mother-in-law.

Wedding Party Dances

Typically the next rounds of dances are reserved for the wedding party, including the ushers, flower girl and ring bearer. The groomsmen should pair up with the bridesmaids while the best man dances with the bride and the maid of honour dances with the groom. Many couples opt for upbeat group dances, such as the Electric Slide or Cupid Shuffle. Either halfway through the song or as soon as it is over, have the DJ invite the rest of the guests to join the festivities.

Cultural Dances

The money dance is an important part of the wedding reception in many cultures throughout the U.S., South America and Europe. In exchange for a few dollars, every guest gets the opportunity to privately congratulate the bride and groom. The dance usually takes place toward the end of the event, after cutting the cake and tossing the bouquet but before the guests begin to leave. Many couples save it for their last dance, right before they head out for their honeymoon.

We in Padarpan, equip such wedding performances, with dancers and choreography along with DJs and every single requirement needed for such an event.

Dance Choreography

In dance, choreography is the act of designing dance. Choreography may also refer to the design itself, which is sometimes expressed by means of dance notation. A choreographer is one who designs dances. Dance choreography is sometimes called dance composition. Do you like to dance? When you hear your favourite song come on the radio, do you begin to move to the beat? Dancing can be a wonderful way to express yourself artistically. We like to watch dancers on television, too. Over the past several years, dancing shows have gained huge audiences. People can’t seem to get enough of dancing!

If you’ve ever watched professionals dancing on television, in a movie, or as part of a live show or ballet, you’ve probably noticed that their moves appear to be carefully planned out. What might look spontaneous at times was probably sketched out and practiced for hours before the first performance. And who’s responsible for all that careful planning? While the dancers themselves may come up with ideas from time to time, the person responsible for putting it all together into a beautiful, compelling performance is the choreographer.

Choreographers design and direct dance routines. They not only invent and perfect dance moves, but they also practice them to make sure that they co ordinate with music and provide entertainment for the audience. The word “choreography” actually comes from the Greek words that mean “dance writing.” Some famous choreographers may work as freelance artists who own their own choreography businesses. Other choreographers might work for dance studios, universities, or movie or television production companies.

Choreographers might work with individual dancers or large groups. As they teach dance moves by example, they also provide encouragement and guidance to the dancers. While the final dance might be just a few minutes long, it can take weeks and even months to perfect even a short routine.

In addition to professional dancers, choreographers often use their knowledge of dance and the body’s movements to choreograph routines for a wide variety of other types of professionals, including gymnasts, cheerleaders, synchronized swimmers, divers, and ice skaters. Anyone who must perform a routine to music can benefit from the help of a choreographer. Modern choreographers often use advanced technology to synchronize dance moves with lights, music and video presentations.

In Padarpan, we provide choreography for your every requirement. Whether it be any public performance, dance show, fashion show or even your wedding dance. Just ask, and we are ready with our team of experts. Not only that, if you require dancers or models of any kind, we are always well stocked with the kind of team you are looking for.

Acting School In Noida

Although an acting degree is not always necessary to land acting jobs, it can be very helpful. For instance, many directors and casting agents are more likely to work with actors that have received formal training. Talent scouts and acting agents also regularly haunt acting schools as well, so a degree from an accredited acting school can help you get noticed faster. With that being said, you should not attend acting school or even pursue a career in acting if you don’t have passion and determination to succeed. Acting is an extremely competitive career, and only the strong survive usually. Many actors – even those that attend acting school – are turned down for roles countless times before they land a steady gig.

Universities With Good Acting Programs

What Special Skills Should Every Aspiring Actor Have? Acting is a very specialized profession, and it typically requires a number of special skills. A good memory, for instance, is one of the greatest skills that any actor can have. If acting in front of a live audience, such as in a theatre, actors must be able to memorize all of their lines and cues. Movie and film actors should also be able to memorize most – if not all – of their lines as well. Aspiring actors should also be able to easily portray a character’s emotions and personality. For example, they should be able to make others truly believe that they are the character that they portray. Research skills are also excellent for any actor to have. These will often come in handy when researching an upcoming role, such as for a historic character. Actors should also be able and willing to work hard. Before a production, actors will typically spend long hours studying a script and practicing their lines. They will then usually have the nerve wracking experience of performing in front of a live – and often critical – audience. Movie an film actors will also need to be available to work at nearly any hour of the day in any sort of weather. Some physical stunts are also required as well.
